The Challenge
Education - especially for the disadvantaged and marginalized - is our society’s only long term hope. No one understands this more than a university and its community.
Trinity College Dublin’s long-standing commitment to tackling educational disadvantage has provoked broad, imaginative and innovative responses helping change lives and transform communities. In these more challenging times, we need to do more.
The Goal
We’re aiming to raise funds to support initiatives addressing educational disadvantage in Dublin and beyond. Many of these projects are groundbreaking and have received international recognition for their effectiveness - all of them are worthy and in need of funds.
What Your Support Will Do
The funds will be distributed evenly between the three initiatives but if you wish you can specify how the money you raise is directed to one of the three beneficiary initiatives. Some examples of what the funding will make possible:
€100 will help a student through a financial crisis and could be the difference between staying in College or dropping out.
€1,000 will fund a job-coach for a student with an intellectual disability moving from College into the work-place.
€5,000 will support a student through a 4-year degree course. Hundreds of Trinity students are currently in need of this support to continue their studies.
€10,000 will support a Trinity link with a school in inner city Dublin, including educational programmes for school-children, mentoring and fun activities.
